1937 Coronation of King George VI

A British Empire set celebrating the coronation of HM King George VI on 12 May 1937, who became King on 11 December 1936, following the abdication of his brother, King Edward VIII.

Of note in this collection is the long set from Newfoundland, and the British stamps overprinted for Tangier and the Morocco Agencies, the latter in French centimes and Spanish céntimos.
