Stamps issued across the British Empire after World War II to commemorate victory and celebrate the peace. I don’t normally collect fault versions of stamps, but I made an exception in this case since the regular issues are easy to find, but the faults not so much!
July 2, 2025: Collection updated with the 2025 A4 souvenir sheet issued by the Royal Mail for the 2025 EuroPhilEx held in Birmingham. The sheet features are designs for the 2½d and 3d stamps issued in 1946 to mark the nation’s victory celebrations, with the theme ‘Symbols of Peace and Restoration’ that were submitted but not taken forward. Each design is paired with the commemorative Union Flag First Class stamp.
