1993 Europa – Contemporary Art

Europa 1993

The theme was contemporary art. CEPT left Europa stamps issues to PostEurop, the association of European public postal operators, with a new logo used on the stamps. Two unofficial issues appeared this year: Belarus, who used the old CEPT, and the Croat post of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the first postal administration of Bosnia to issue Europa stamps, but since they were not recognized by the UPU at that time, their issue is also considered as unofficial. Gibraltar and Belgium did not use the official logo, and Albania used a logo depicting a V instead of a U, i.e., “EVROPA.”
