The exhibition was 2–14 November 1936. Repurposed booklet panes of 25 September 1935 were issued on 2 November 1936, with stamps overprinted “JIPEX 1936.” All sheets read “Johannesburg International Philatelic Exhibition, 1936.” at left and “Johannesburgse Internasionale Filatelistiese Tentoonstelling, 1936.” at right. Panels in the top and bottom selvedge contain advertisements.
