1941–45 Free French Colonial Airmail

1941–45 Free French Colonial Airmail

Issued by the Free French government-in-exile in London for use in the French colonies. The design by Edmund Dulac (1882–1953) features the Cross of Lorraine, symbol of Free France, and a triple-tail, four-engine passenger airplane, possibly based on the Fairey FC-1 (which never saw production due to World War II).
