
European Postal Union at the service of European Integration
On the 13th September 1958 the third issue selected again a common design of a dove flying above the letter E of Europe, symbolizing the cooperation of the European Postal Services as a vehicle of realizing a United Europe, and designed by Dutchman André van der Vossen (1893–1963). Turkey replaced Switzerland for this issue.
