1964 Europa

1964 Europa

Austria returned, but Finland did not issue this year. The common design is a stylized flower with 22 petals, one for each 1964 member of CEPT, with the CEPT logo in the center of the flower, designed by Frenchman Georges Bétemps (1912–1992). Two countries did not use the common design: Liechtenstein (a castle with six towers); and San Marino (globe with the letter E). Most stamps were issued on 12 and 14 September.
