A common theme replaced the common design system used since 1956, with only the CEPT logo (or letters) on each stamp indicating that the stamp is a “Europa stamp.” The theme for 1974 was sculptures. Sweden issued stamps, but the Netherlands and Norway did not. 15 countries used the CEPT logo on their stamps, the others just used the CEPT letters. Most stamps issued on 29 April.
